2010 Workshop Topics: Feedback Wanted

ATTN: All intending to attend the SREE 2010 Conference

Rob is requesting input on workshop topics for next year's conference. Current plans are to offer 4 workshops scheduled to where participants could attend 2 of them. Given Rob's intention to give special consideration to topics graduate students would be interested in attending, please reply with workshop topics you'd like to see offered.

Thanks

  1. I would be interested in learning how to employ treatment-on-the-treated analyses. Bloom and colleagues gave a presentation last year (Understanding Finite Sample Bias from Instrumental Variables Analysis in Randomized Trials) that highlighted some important issues. A workshop on the statistical procedures involved would be very helpful.

  2. I think the conference offerings are a good balance of research topics and methodologies. It would help me to attend workshops along the lines of "How to write a winning grant application",or "The ins and outs of getting published." Some of the senior researchers would surely have invaluable knowledge on these processes that could supplement what we learn in our own labs and programs.

  3. Sorry for the delayed response....I would appreciate a workshop on best practices in dealing with and writing about missing data.
